Planning For Vacation

I know it’s a little early but I’m starting to think about next year’s vacation. We always go to the beach in Florida but next year I’m thinking we might do something different. Krista will be just graduated and we could make it like a senior trip (but with the family). There’s always a cruise. I went on one a long time ago and it was fabulous. But then I have always wanted to go to Las Vegas. I’m not much of a gambler but there is all of the shows that I have been told are great! Of course, we would need a Las Vegas strip map to help us get around and to find our motel when we get there. I’m not sure where we would stay, does anyone have any suggestions?? Well, finding a place to stay would be the last thing to worry about. Getting my husband to fly would be the challenge (he’s never flown before). Oh well, I just think that would be a fun trip.

Here are this week’s four questions.

#1. Pasta. How do you tell when it’s done? Do you cook on medium or high? I usually start out on high and then turn it down to medium. After about 10 minutes, I check it and it is usually.
#2. Deep frying. What kind of oil do you use? We usually use Canola Oil.
#3. Grilling. Do you grill on foil or directly on the grill? We use aluminum foil on the grill.
#4. Share a recipe that involves cooking something two different ways.Example, for lasagna you might fry the meat and bake the whole dish.

What To Get A 5 Year Old??

My young nephew will be having his 5th birthday at the end of this month and I haven’t got a clue as to what I will be getting him. He lives about fifty miles away, so it’s not like I see him every day. So I don’t know what he likes. Last year, it was spiderman and the year before that it was Cars. I’m not sure if he likes either of them now. I got his cousin a Build-A-Bear for her birthday (I blogged about it in Aug.) and I thought about taking him to get his own Build-A-Bear. Does anybody know what 5 year old boys like?? My little boy is now 14 (will be 15 in March) so it’s been a long time since I bought things for a younger boy. I might just ask him what he would like…or I might just get him a Build-A-Bear. Who knows…any suggestions, let me know. Thanks!
